"Which Child" is the literary debut of Shane Spyre. It is a psychological thriller. The beginning of this book was very interesting. I got to know the characters and their stories. As the pages went by, the story got so twisted that I got lost at times. And I didn't know why the girls were 11 years ago, and suddenly they were almost adults. The plot is very complicated and, like me, you may get lost. Some of the action is fast-paced. You will find lots of twists and turns here. Numerous heroes do not make the task easier. You will meet, among others: Violet, Rose, Poppy (identical triplets),Nicholas and Sarah Greene (the girls' parents) and detectives: Gordon Burke and Ashley Irvine. You will find pathological liars here. Someone is hiding a murderer here. Who really kills? To be honest, you will have a problem identifying the perpetrator. Here, the characters seriously get on the readers' nerves. The ending, like the whole story, is quite twisted. I didn't expect this turn of events. "Which Child" is a good story for a debut. I see light at the end of the tunnel for this author. I hope the next Shane Spyre book will be less twisted and the author will mark time jumps so that readers don't get shocked. If you like reading books by debut authors and appreciate psychological thrillers, go ahead and read "Which Child". Watch out for the Greene sisters. Who knows what they will do to you. I wonder if you will identify the perpetrator of the murders before he reveals himself. Were the Greene sisters just triplets? Meet this pathological family. I guarantee you will be shocked.
The cover is also noteworthy. It's very creepy. It literally scares me. Read this novel at your own risk.
