" [...] It’s not our fault we are what we are. [...]".
"Humebeasts: Lizard Ambition" is the literary debut of Lisa Munoz. Her novel is Science fiction for young adults. In her work, the author touches on important topics including revenge, mistreatment of other people, friendship and discovering the true self. Forty-nine years ago, the world was struck by a plague, which led to the creation of Humebeast - People with animal characteristics. Humans do not tolerate chimeras and attack them. The characters in this novel undergo a huge metamorphosis. You will learn, among other things:
Ziggy Coils- This character is seventeen years old, has reptilian claws covered with black scales and has clawed feet. His head is also unusual. He grew up in an orphanage. He loves listening to music on headphones, it calms him down. He lives on the outskirts of London. He is a Humebeast - a chimera. His favourite singer is David Slade. This hero loves to sing. Will someone help his career? Will he fulfil his dream and become a singer? It is worth knowing its history. Will our hero find his way in a world full of barbarians? Just because someone is different doesn't mean they are worse.
Samuel Clarke - he is a talent scout, former DJ. Will he turn out to be a friend of our main character? Or will he mock him at every turn? The story of this hero moved me deeply. It's worth getting to know this character.
Arnold - Ziggie's biological father. He is terribly aggressive towards his son. I didn't like this character.
Dominic O'Riley - is a rock guitarist. He has ultra-religious parents. He's gay. His parents don't know anything about it, and if they found out, they would probably disown their son. And that would be their big mistake. He is also a Humebeasts. Of course, you will meet many other characters in the book "Humebeasts: Lizard Ambition". Some you will like, others you will hate. I really liked this whole story. I read it in one day. This book evoked a lot of different emotions in me. Sometimes I was very scared. I feared for the lives of Ziggie and his friends. This hero made me realize that it's worth giving others a second chance. Even though this book is aimed at teenagers aged 14-18, I had fun reading it too. I wonder if I will hear about the characters in this novel again. The author writes in a language understandable to today's youth.
This novel is worth recommending. In my opinion, "Humebeasts: Lizard Ambition" is a successful debut.

" [...] I have read about these crossings many times but to see the reality of this primeval drive to get food is mesmerising and hypnotic [...]"
"Inheritance" is the third and, unfortunately, last part of the amazing "Landscapes of Love" trilogy created by Philip Tyler. I received a lot of unique emotions here. I honestly admit that I cried a lot while reading this novel. Here I dealt with poachers, smugglers and traders. I liked the morals of the main characters. I experienced everything with them. I would like to thank the author for these beautiful descriptions of landscapes and animals found, among others, in Africa. Just like the main characters of this book, we should fight poaching. What will happen when barbaric poachers shoot the last animal? I'm glad Philip Tyler brought attention to this difficult topic. Billionaires and millionaires fly specifically to Africa to take an active part in hunting. Then they take photos with their victims. Isn't this barbaric? They should be severely punished for something like this. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. I will miss Charlie, Daniel and Anne Marie very much. I became attached to these characters. Charlie will really go through a lot in this part. I wouldn't want to be in her place. I joined her in pain. I didn't understand the author who created such a cruel life for her. And she's such a wonderful woman. She didn't deserve what happened to her. Oh, no, Mr. Author. Daniel has his hands full. Among other things, he must track down poachers who murder gorillas and kidnap their children. Will the baby gorillas be found alive? Who cared about them? In addition, Daniel has to face personal problems. It's worth getting to know this hero. His character reminds me of James Bond. Anne Marie is a close friend of Charlie and Daniel. She always tries to help them. She has her own horses and a herd of sheep. Her character amazes me in this part. She will be the perfect friend. Does such a person deserve love? She is in love with a certain woman. Will she be able to confess her feelings? Or will the two ladies play a game of cat and mouse? I already know the answer to this question. You will get to know her while reading this book. I am very glad that I could participate in so many (sometimes dangerous) adventures together with the main characters. I fought for the good of nature. I pursued the guilty. I was very worried about the little gorilla Didi. Will Daniel and his team find her? Who will be your true friend, and who will be your worst enemy? Where there is huge money, there are also huge problems. Danger lurks at every step. I am satisfied with this entire trilogy. I witnessed the emerging love between the characters. Will their feelings survive? Will there be a happy ending? Of course, I won't tell you that. You will have to discover this sweet secret for yourself. "Inheritance" is a very quick read. This novel draws you into its whirlwind from the very first page. We travel with the characters through different countries and continents. I would love to see this trilogy on the big screen. Remember, take care of nature and animals. If we forget about this, one day we too will become extinct. The author drew attention to one more important, painful and dangerous issue, but you have to see for yourself. I guarantee there will be tears.

" When the lie is so much better than reality, it can seduce you, even when all evidence points to the truth. "
I didn't expect that when I picked up a book by C.L. Lauder titled "The Quelling", I didn't expect such a surprising story. This is the first part of a trilogy. I can't wait for the next volume. This novel is mainly aimed at teenagers and young adults. This is a science fiction story. We are dealing here with magic and terrible creatures. If you want to be enchanted, I refer you to this story. Our main character is Kyjta. She lives with her stepfather. Her mother was killed. This heroine has a side job as a delivery agent for the Potions Master. Together with her, you will experience unforgettable adventures, full of magic and danger. You will also meet a little girl, Calipsie. Her life will be in total danger. Will Kyjta find her alive? When you pick up this book, you will also meet Ghoragalls - monsters with waxed claws. Which are very dangerous. I wouldn't want to deal with them. You kill one of them, and his partner will get you. You must remember this. Rheman is a parasite that controls humans. One of them is called Kranik. And it's very good for our main character. Are the rest of his species so nice too? You will also encounter here, among others: the Stunned, the Stained and the Suppressed. Does our heroine belong to any of these groups? This book is a very quick read. Congratulations to the author of this good debut. Another author who showed me that science fiction books are not boring. Fast-paced action, a good plot and wonderful characters made this book impossible to put down. Of course, some events here left me in total shock. I still can't get myself together. I am glad that the author C.L. Lauder decided to share this story with us. I would love to see this novel on the big or small screen. What would you do to save your own friends? Do you believe miracles happen? Is revenge always sweet?

If you like spy thrillers, you've come to the right place. "The Value of Luck" by Martin Venning is a very interesting book. There's a lot going on here. At times, I was very shocked. I was afraid for the lives of several characters. I liked a certain agent, and I was sure I wouldn't like her. In turn, the heroine, whom I liked, ended up hating in the end. Can you fraternize with your enemy? What price can you pay for this? Would you like to take over your father's dirty business? Unfortunately, I would not agree to such a thing. I wouldn't like to have foreign interviews on my back. Fortunately, my dad is not the same as a certain heroine's father. There are a lot of characters here, and I can honestly tell you that if you don't read carefully, you can get lost. Unfortunately, this doesn't bother me because I love stories like this. If you like James Bond, you should like this book. Where drugs and weapons are sold, people are trafficked, there is always big money and it is dangerous. Suspicious big money attracts intelligence agencies from all over the world. Here you will deal, among others, with agents from Mossad. Ciller Terzili is an attractive young woman. Thanks to her father, she is well-trained, which is rare in the Turkish world. She was touched by a huge tragedy that shaped her. She lost her mother, brother and three sisters in the accident. After this tragedy, her father completely broke down. In order for her father's company not to go bankrupt, she had to take care of running it. But does she know what she is getting into and what it involves? She will become a businesswoman. She will run a company in Istanbul that deals in commodities, finished products, semifinished products, ammunition, field equipment and energy weapons available only to the armed forces of superpowers. The girl is looking for new clients. She goes to meetings all over the world. As I already told to you, I liked this heroine at the beginning because of her commitment and helping her father. At the end of the book she took a sharp turn and that's why I don't like her any more. I also met agents, including Weitzman, Boonie and McKee. In this book, you will also learn about the NCA's investigation into luxury car thefts and drug dealing in a kebab chain in England. Will everyone come out of this story alive? Will criminals be caught and put in prison? I secretly hope that author Martin Venning will write a continuation of this story. I am curious about the further fate of the characters in this book. You don't read the novel "The Value of Luck", you flow through it. A perfect story that I hope will one day be adapted into a film. A book like this was worth staying up at night for. An additional advantage is its great cover. The author created very good female characters. One of them is James Bond in a skirt. You absolutely must meet her. Of course, you will also meet a lot of villains here. It's impossible to like such characters. I am satisfied with this book.

" [...] There is nothing like bringing new life into the world to make it a better place. [...] "
It was a unique meeting with the characters of the book "Retribution" by Philip Tyler. I experienced unforgettable adventures with them. I was really scared in places, and I was afraid for their lives. The author set his story in several countries. Thanks to this, I was able to travel around the world. Get to know amazing animals and see beautiful landscapes with your imagination. The heroes will have some really important problems to solve. Among other things, they will have to determine what happened to Prince Khalid's wife, Rashieka. I won't give you any spoilers, so I won't tell you about further problems. Let me just say that they will be very dangerous, even life-threatening.
Our heroes are:
- my favourite, Charlie. She's literally not afraid of anything. She is brave and loved by everyone. She loves animals and photography. She is head over heels in love with Daniel.
-Anne Marie - She is Charlie's friend. I'll tell you a secret, that I'm head over heels in love with her. She is also brave and loves helping others.
- Daniel - the love of his life is Charlie. He loves dangerous missions. He saves the world. When his friends are in danger, he immediately jumps into action to save them. He often does it at the risk of his life. He would jump into fire for his beloved.
Of course, you will meet many more characters in "Retribution". It's worth taking a closer look at them.
I liked the plot and action of this book. The ending made my heart stop. And I can honestly tell you that I can't wait for the third part. I became very attached to these characters.
Such a wonderful story deserves to be adapted into a film.
"Retribution" is the second volume of the "Landscapes of Love" trilogy.
If you like adventure and thrillers, you've come to the right place. The beautiful illustrations and photographs in this book are also worth attention. The cover may seem modest, but it has something great about it. Eye-catching.
It is worth getting to know the work of Philip Tyler.
And finally, check out the best quote from this book:

"[...] You were my personal ‘Google’. [...]"
James "Jim" Herdman was born in 1939. He grew up in Northern Ireland
His wife Cathy, who he calls Katie, is the love of his life. They had one son, whom they raised in Italy and London.
He was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2015. He also suffered from dementia towards the end of his life. A nasty combination of diseases. He died on August 17, 2020.
His wife documented his illness in the form of a diary. It's full of pain, sadness, anger and disbelief. It's sad to watch a loved one turn into a stranger before our eyes. I am grateful to Cathy for sharing her experiences with us. Thank you for describing your and your husband's difficult moments. This story will touch even the hardest of hearts. There were some tears. Tears flow from helplessness and powerlessness.
Memorial starts on April 20, 2019.
I am appalled at how the NHS works in England. One 10-minute visit with a neurologist every 10 months. This is some mockery. Like Jimi, I love the film "Schindler's List".
Jim is very aggressive, this is a new symptom of the disease. He is a danger to himself and his loved ones.
Read how Katie dealt with her husband's illness and how Jim behaved. His behaviour in recent months has not been positive. I'm not surprised that the author went out of her way at times.
If you like books based on facts in the form of a diary, I encourage you to read "Where are you?".
Parkinson and dementia are a devilish combination that exhausts the patient and their loved ones. It was the first time I read such detailed memories.
I recommend this book only to adults.

“(...) I will kill any man or beast who may threaten her. (...)”
Jost Krupp is one of the main characters in Hugo Woolley's latest novel titled "Girl on a golden pillow". We learn about his life from 1925, when he was 12 years old. He promised his father that he would take care of his mother while he was away. He killed a man in defence of his mother, Anna. Whether he did good or bad is unfortunately not for me to judge. How did his mother benefit from this? That's what you'll find out from this story.
We also have MI6 staff here.
I liked Fred's thinking. He has a difficult task ahead of him. Will he be able to handle it?
I didn't like Alice Barrett's behaviour. At first, I thought she was a shy young woman. Be careful with this character, because appearances can be deceiving. She terrified me with her actions.
Another main character is Franz-Joseph Deller. A young Austrian who is currently in France. He's a student. He works as a gardener in the house of Mr. and Mrs. Barrett. Unfortunately, the circumstances are not favourable to him. After some time, he accidentally became a spy. He collaborated with Adolf Hitler. How did he benefit from it? Was it worth it for him? I liked this character. I felt very sorry for him. He didn't want to take part in the war. Unfortunately, the author came up with a completely different scenario for him.
Another leading character is Charlotte. She didn't have it easy from the very beginning of her life. She was raised by her adoptive parents. Why? What happened to her biological parents? Who were they? I also liked this character. Despite the unfavourable circumstances, the girl coped quite well. Get to know her life story.
Wow. Picking up this e-book, I didn't expect to receive such an interesting novel. I met a lot of "famous" German beasts from World War II here. Thanks to this story, I moved into the time before and after the most cruel world war. I met nice characters and people who should have been six feet underground. Fast-paced action. The plot is terrifying at times. As for the ending, it pains me to admit that I expected something more. After such a story, I was counting on a spectacular ending. Unfortunately, I miscalculated. Maybe thanks to this ending, the author left the door open to writing the rest of the story. I'd love to read it. I'm curious about the fate of some of the characters in this book.
"Girl on golden pillow" is a very good war story. There are plenty of threads here intended only for adult readers.
It was my first encounter with the work of Hugo Woolley. I'd love to learn more about his next works. I absolutely need to know what happens next with Charlotte.
I read this story in one day. It is worth reading. A perfect novel for long autumn evenings. War is never easy or pleasant. How will our heroes cope in times of war?
I encourage you to read this story.
War stories are worth reading.
I recommend.

Wow! What a story this is. Charlie was attacked by three Albanian teenagers. Did she come out of it unharmed? This character loves taking pictures. She is talented. Will she be able to take beautiful photos on the Greek island of Hydra? It has a great young guide named Max. Why was he so nice to her?
Another character in this book is Daniel. He flew over to Charlie's parents for Christmas. Who is Daniel? He's a very mysterious person. He has a very dangerous job. Thanks to this, he travels around the world.
Philip Tyler's book "Catharsis: Landscapes of Love" is very addictive. I have never read such an interesting and intriguing story before. I have experienced many interesting and unforgettable adventures here. Thanks to the beautiful descriptions, through the eyes of my imagination, I saw the charming places where our heroes were. Thanks to the author, I could see beautiful black and white photos. There are even a lot of them. The first one impressed me a lot. Why? Because it features a gorilla holding her baby. I support the action to save and protect animals. Like the characters in this book, I hate poachers who kill innocent animals for money.
I haven't mentioned one more character to you yet. She is Anne-Marie. She is a very intelligent woman. I'm curious how this character will develop in the second part. What connects her to Charlie and Daniel? For the answer, I refer you to the book.
Thank you to the author for allowing me to read such a wonderful story.
Can you meet the love of your life by chance? Will two people who have been hurt by life be able to live again?
What you get when you pick up this book: lots of crazy and dangerous adventures, love, jealousy, friendship, tears, great views, wild nature, a trip to various places around the world, beautiful photos, a good plot, fast-paced action with amazing twists and turns, of course, unique characters.
This book made my heart stop several times and tears flowed freely. I fell in love with the characters and can't wait for the next book.
The beautiful cover is eye-catching.

" (...) One day you are king of your domain, the next you are being escorted from the premises by security. (...) "
I met a real sociopath here. He is a pediatric heart surgeon. I was very scared. I was afraid for the lives of his little patients.
Our main character, Eric Philson has a wonderful wife, Ana, two beautiful daughters, a house and a high position. He is the associate director of the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Fort Myers Hospital. He had everything that every man dreams of. Was he really happy? One phone call changed his life. The question is, is it for the better or rather for the worse? You will see for yourself by reading "Bourned out". What awaits our doctor at the Children's Hospital of Biloxi (CHOB)?
Are all Mississippi people peasants? Will our hero change his mind about these people? Or will he rather be confirmed in this belief?
If you like medical books, you'll like this one. Here, thanks to the main character, we have a close look at the work of cardiac surgeons. We are witnessing the waking up of patients and the behaviour of medical staff. Does everyone always play fair here? I found here a lot of descriptions that were not always interesting and sometimes bored me. But I kept reading because I am very interested in the subject. Thanks to this story, I learned a lot of medical curiosities. Are you curious about them? I refer you to the book "Bourned Out".
Can your dream job become your worst nightmare? From the book, you will learn how hospital employees are treated. And what a slow fall looks like. Will it be possible to introduce beneficial changes in the ICU and bring the children's hospital into the 21st century? A very good psychological book, or rather a psychological war between the characters in this story.
I read the book with bated breath. The further I went, the more I feared for the life of the main character.
I liked the thorough descriptions of cardiology and cardiac surgery procedures. Reading this e-book, I had the impression that I was working together with the main character.
I see this book as a diary of Dr. Eric's life. Thanks to him, I know how you can lead to professional burnout.
When we want to do good for others, there will always be some black sheep that will trip us up. Unfortunately, it's sad, but true.
Does your career always have to be more important than your private life? Can you get so lost in your work that you forget about your own life?
If you love medical topics, this book will be perfect for you. Here you will learn a lot of interesting issues in the field of cardiac surgery. I must tell you right away that the novel "Burned out" is not an easy story. For me, it was a very difficult read. Probably because of its theme. I'm a fast reader, but I couldn't finish this book in one day. I read it in a few days. To better understand this story, I recommend you to be very focused while reading it.
Nevertheless, I encourage you to read "Burned Out".
See what can lead to the wrong person in a certain position.
Should physician errors be exposed or swept under the rug?
I secretly hope that author Dean Mafako, M.D. he did not write this book out of his own accord. Dean Mafako, M.D. is an author, physician, and clinical professor of pediatrics. He has over fifteen years of clinical and research experience.
I would love to read his other books.
Kudos to the author for this story. Thank you for the emotions that accompanied me while reading it.
Even though this story is difficult, it will stay in my memory for a long time.
Thank you to the author for showing me that not everything is always colourful.
The ending of the story brought tears to my eyes. Whether I cried from happiness or rather from unhappiness, you will find out by reading "Bourned Out".
This book is worth reading.
Thanks to The Book Network and Book Baby for the e-book "Burned Out". I got this e-book in exchange for an honest review.

Officer Catherine Horvill had been working for West Midlands Police for a year. She is working on the case of the disappearance of 27-year-old Walid Mahmood. Was he drawn into IS? Sam Langford is to be the bodyguard of Jeff Walker, the world's number one former golfer, four days a week. Why? Because he's been getting death threats for a while. What happens when Jeff suddenly disappears? In this book, I met a brilliant investigation led by a young and ambitious police officer. I followed her story with bated breath. If you like LGBT themes in books, you will get them here. Jeff Walker's case intertwines with Catherine's investigation. In one chapter we read about the officer, and in the next about Sam and Jeff. Reading "Who is Jeff Walker?" I was wondering if the two stories would connect, or if I was dealing with two stories in one book. It bothered me a bit, it's mixing up the story. I couldn't concentrate properly on one story. The action is very slow at the beginning. It picks up speed in the middle of the book. And at the end it flies like a storm. I didn't expect such twists and turns. I read the end of this book with great suspense. It was a real bomb. If you like thrillers with unexpected twists, then be sure to read "Who is Jeff Walker?". Don't be put off by the beginning. The further, the better. The entire story takes place in Great Britain. Overall, "Who is Jeff Walker?" It's a good thriller worth reading. I recommend.

Why do we need true friends? Will our hero cope with the cousin who will come to him? Our little heroes from Singapore show their cousin their beautiful city. What did the Merry Polo in Singapore really like? This book is created in the form of a comic book. Contains interesting illustrations. I'd love to go to Canopy Park someday. The author portrayed it so beautifully that it makes me want to be there. Together with the heroes, you can play the drums. Did you know that Singapore's falconer culture was inscribed on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List in 2020? Thanks to this book, I learned what animals live in Singapore. I liked the saltwater crocodile the most. An interesting reading position, intended not only for children. I am happy that I was able to read this book. Emma Juhasz has created an extraordinary children's book, "What football job can you do?". This is a very good story that shows how many people are really needed to create a football club. To be honest, I was very interested in it. I read this book with my son. In addition to good text, we found beautiful illustrations here. Do you know how many professional sports clubs there are around the world? We also found a game in the book that you can play. All you need is a dice and pawns. You will learn, among others, such professions as: manager, trainer, agent, club doctor, psychologist and Public Relations. You will find out what the person is responsible for. We also found a drawing to colour. Perfect for young footballers. We also learned a lot of other interesting facts about football. An ideal book for a young person who would like to take a closer look at people working in professional football clubs. At the very end of the book, you will find a game that you can play together with your friends. I recommend playing it outdoors. Football is for everyone. It doesn't matter how old you are, what you look like and what nationality you are. This book will make you realize that football is perfect for you. You don't have to play in professional Clubs right away. You can do it in gardens, parks and even houses. Football is an interesting activity in which you can take an active part together with your children. If you want to take a closer look at football and learn a lot of interesting facts, I refer you to Emma Juhasz's book "What football job can you do?". We are delighted with it. Thank you The Book Network and Acquisition Analytics for the book "Fly for your life" by Larry Forrester and S.A. Steel.
Robert Stanford Tuck was the most experienced pilot and marksman. He was an extraordinary Spitfire Ace. He was one of the best fighter pilots of the British Air Force (RAF). Robert led the evacuation of Dunkirk and participated in the Battle of Britain. He must have been a great man. Thanks to the book Fly for your life, I learned that in 2022 there was only one fighter pilot alive - John Hemingway, who fought in the Battle of Britain from July to October 1940. The first edition of this book was in Great Britain in 1956. Original photographs appear in this 2022 issue. I'm glad I could read it. This book absorbed me completely. I love books related to the Second World War. The introduction and conclusion of this book were written by S.A. Steele. The rest, not counting the photos, was created by Larry Forrester. Thank you for sharing this unforgettable story. Did Great Britain have a chance to win the war against the great Luftwaffe? With Tuck at the helm, the impossible became possible. You can learn a lot from the legends about this hero. Some say he was carefree, reckless and always smiling. Others say Tuck was a flying fanatic, raw and psychopathically bloodthirsty. But what was he really like? You will find out by reading the book "Fly for your life". Was he injured during World War II? Reading how Tuck was in the war felt like I was in it too. I felt bullets fly past me. The enemy was very close. The author perfectly described all the missions of Robert Stanford Tuck. My biggest fear was for Tuck when his machine got caught in the crossfire. His friends who were flying next to him were also terrified. For a moment, my heart stopped. His words, "This time I'm really done for." brought tears to my eyes. I secretly hoped that he would survive this and not let himself be killed by the Germans. In his last seconds, he thought about his beloved Joyce. Brilliant book. It's worth it and you should read it. Get your tissues ready right away. I found out what Tuck's family looked like and what his childhood was like. From this book, you will even find out what his nickname was. I will tell you that it is very interesting. I was very curious how Tuck got into the British Air Force. Did you know that our hero started in the Navy? While reading this book, I was literally terrified at times. Reading how our hero bled out, tears flowed down my cheeks. I was secretly hoping he would make it out alive. The perfect book for anyone who loves history and World War II. What about Dunkirk? How did the fighters deal with the enemies? Tuck was devastated after the tragic death of his brother-in-law. Why? I was shocked to learn the reasons for his malaise. What is he hiding from his family? The end of the book made my heart stop for a moment. Our hero as a pilot never hated his enemy. Finally, I found information about what happened after the war to some of the people mentioned in this book. Are you curious about what the Battle of Britain really looked like? If you answered yes, then I refer you to the book "Fly for your life". It's worth reading. I am very pleased with it. I had shivers down my spine reading this book. If you are interested in history, World War II and aviation, you've come to the right place. You can't get bored with this book. A very exciting story.
Robert led the evacuation of Dunkirk and participated in the Battle of Britain....

Thanks to the book "True Love Conquers All", I met an almost 91-year-old woman who is currently in the hospital. I really wanted to know about her life. She has lived so many years, so she has a rich history. The old lady suffers from rheumatoid arthritis in her hands, so she decided to record her life story on a voice recorder. Pretty smart move. All grandparents should record their stories for future generations. The old lady noticed that nowadays the art of writing letters is dying out. It has been superseded by texts and e-mails. Unfortunately, she's right. Have you ever written letters? To be honest, I don't remember the last time I wrote a letter. Our heroine is the daughter of Paul and Herta Schild. They were both born in Germany. It was love at first sight. You will learn more about them in the book "True love conquers all". It's worth taking a closer look at them. Thanks to our heroine, I learned more about the First World War and life shortly after it. Our heroine, Erika Charlotte Hildegard, was born on February 20, 1920 in Berlin. She was her parents' first child. On September 1, 1922, her brother Gerhard Walter Schild was born. In the life of our heroine, real dramas played out, about which she herself will tell you. As I read this book, tears flowed down my cheeks. I felt very sorry for Mrs. Schild. Erika also mentions Adolf Hitler. Does he speak well or badly of him? You'll have to see for yourself. It very accurately describes the times when Hitler reigned. Thanks to our heroine, we know what feelings adolescent German children had when they were told the ideology of this tyrant. It's scary what the kids are told. How good it is that I am Polish and did not live in those cruel and barbaric times. Hitler told the girls that being a good German meant getting married at a young age, taking care of the house and raising a large group of children. In short, just being a regular housewife. Was our heroine the perfect German? In the book "True love conquers all" I found beautiful photographs from Erika's life. At the age of 16, she took her first job. Was she happy with it? Our heroine perfectly describes the events that took place on November 9, 1938. You probably know them by the name "Night of Kristallnacht". From that moment began the Holocaust of the Jews. Of course, I will not describe it to you. I encourage you to familiarize yourself with the life of Erika and her family before, during and after the war. Be prepared to shed tears as you read what she experienced and saw. Thank you to the author for writing her mother's story. These were painful experiences, but very important for the next generations. We will never forget what happened during World War II. Thanks to people like Erika, young people can learn what those tragic events really looked like from the point of view of a native German woman. How did the meeting with Staff Sergeant John Crowley of the RAP come about? Was it love at first sight? Could a British man fall in love with a native German woman right after World War II? John was an exceptional man. He wrote special letters to his beloved. At the end of each letter, he drew a unique pet. Thanks to the photos in this book, you will find out what kind of animal it was. Erika was 13 years younger than John. Did they have a successful life together? Have they had a child? You will learn this and much more in the book "True love conquers all". It's worth reading. Beautiful love is very difficult in unfavourable times. I read this book with bated breath. I couldn't stop reading. The perfect story for all lovers of novels about true, sincere and simple love. Do you believe in love at first sight? The great thing about this book is the large number of photos. The perfect biography.

I'll start with the cover first. It is unique and eye-catching. Together with my son, we wanted to quickly learn the story of the cute Frog Bog on the cover. We have read that the wonderful illustrations for this book were created by Mariela Malova. This girl has a beautiful talent. I will envy her.
On the third page, you can sign the book. My son said that this book is for him, and I have no say in the matter, and he signed it. This book is exactly for children. We go further.
The illustrations are great, but the content is also perfect. "Frog's Bog" by Marielle Bayliss. This was our first meeting with this author. We'd love to read other books by this author.
We meet the frog in the morning. She comes to life. It helps us meet other animals. Will they make our frog happy? Or will it be the other way around? We were horrified by what the red fox did. We were worried about our green Frog. We wondered what she would eat for breakfast. Breakfast is very important. This is the basis of a successful day. Will our frog have a full tummy?
Meet the frog and her action-packed adventures.
We laughed a lot while reading "Frog's Bog". The author has created a story that teaches and entertains. As you read this book, you will see that we don't always have to get what we want.
I will add that our Frog Bog will have a lot of bad luck. This gives the story a special character. My son loves her. We read it every night before going to bed.
The story hidden within the pages of "Frog's Bog" contains a moral that you must discover for yourself.
We loved the ending of this book. We are very curious if the author Marielle Bayliss will create a book with more adventures of Green Frog.
At the end of the book, we found explanations of some water words. A very useful solution.
Together with my son, we recommend the book "Frog's Bog" to all children. Remember, dear parents, to read books to your children before bedtime. This will enrich their imagination and make them have better dreams.
Big applause to Marielle Bayliss and Mariel Malov for creating such a wonderful, unusual and unique book.

Stuart Nisbet has created a fascinating detective story. Together with two heroes, Jenny from Bristol and Hamish from Glasgow, I embarked on a secret mission started by Hamish's grandfather - Murdo. Where has the boy's grandfather gone? Will they ever see each other again? We research the history of Glasgow. What we discover will not be sweet.
"The Book of Here & There" drew me in from the very beginning. I couldn't stop reading. The characters are very expressive. I like the background of the whole story. The plot of the book is on the right level. Keeps the reader in suspense. The action does not slow down. You will not be bored reading this novel. If you want to know the dark history of Glasgow, be sure to reach for this book.I also met a man named Cato. He was born in Cameroon. I could read his notes. I really enjoyed his descriptions of his childhood and what he did. I was shocked to find out that he had to flee from slavers. He was only 15 then. Did his family survive?
Do our three heroes have anything in common? You will find out while reading.
The author touches on a very important topic: slavery. Do you know how much a slave boy was worth, and how much a disabled girl was worth? Slavery is a very heavy and difficult topic. However, the author was positive. He made this thread interesting.
I recommend this book

Each of you probably knows the brave and courageous Robin Hood, but do you know his younger brother Ronnie? Of course, you don't know him. I didn't know him. Thanks to author Henry Sowter, I had the pleasure of meeting Ronnie Hood. He is different from his brother. First, he is not as famous as his brother. It's worth getting to know this little hero. I am delighted with his ingenuity and cleverness. Thanks to Ronnie, younger children will see why they need to learn. You will also learn why, for Robin Hood, his younger brother is a real hero. This book is worth reading to children aged three to eight. Thanks to Ronnie Hood's story, children will learn, among other things, how nice it is to have siblings. An additional advantage of this book are the beautiful illustrations created by Sarah-Leigh Wills. I read this book to my son. He is also happy with this story. He listened to it with great interest. After reading "Ronnie Hood", he answered my questions correctly. "Ronnie Hood" is worth having in your library.
