Burned Out Dean Mafako

" (...) One day you are king of your domain, the next you are being escorted from the premises by security. (...) "
I met a real sociopath here. He is a pediatric heart surgeon. I was very scared. I was afraid for the lives of his little patients.
Our main character, Eric Philson has a wonderful wife, Ana, two beautiful daughters, a house and a high position. He is the associate director of the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Fort Myers Hospital. He had everything that every man dreams of. Was he really happy? One phone call changed his life. The question is, is it for the better or rather for the worse? You will see for yourself by reading "Bourned out". What awaits our doctor at the Children's Hospital of Biloxi (CHOB)?
Are all Mississippi people peasants? Will our hero change his mind about these people? Or will he rather be confirmed in this belief?
If you like medical books, you'll like this one. Here, thanks to the main character, we have a close look at the work of cardiac surgeons. We are witnessing the waking up of patients and the behaviour of medical staff. Does everyone always play fair here? I found here a lot of descriptions that were not always interesting and sometimes bored me. But I kept reading because I am very interested in the subject. Thanks to this story, I learned a lot of medical curiosities. Are you curious about them? I refer you to the book "Bourned Out".
Can your dream job become your worst nightmare? From the book, you will learn how hospital employees are treated. And what a slow fall looks like. Will it be possible to introduce beneficial changes in the ICU and bring the children's hospital into the 21st century? A very good psychological book, or rather a psychological war between the characters in this story.
I read the book with bated breath. The further I went, the more I feared for the life of the main character.
I liked the thorough descriptions of cardiology and cardiac surgery procedures. Reading this e-book, I had the impression that I was working together with the main character.
I see this book as a diary of Dr. Eric's life. Thanks to him, I know how you can lead to professional burnout.
When we want to do good for others, there will always be some black sheep that will trip us up. Unfortunately, it's sad, but true.
Does your career always have to be more important than your private life? Can you get so lost in your work that you forget about your own life?
If you love medical topics, this book will be perfect for you. Here you will learn a lot of interesting issues in the field of cardiac surgery. I must tell you right away that the novel "Burned out" is not an easy story. For me, it was a very difficult read. Probably because of its theme. I'm a fast reader, but I couldn't finish this book in one day. I read it in a few days. To better understand this story, I recommend you to be very focused while reading it.
Nevertheless, I encourage you to read "Burned Out".
See what can lead to the wrong person in a certain position.
Should physician errors be exposed or swept under the rug?
I secretly hope that author Dean Mafako, M.D. he did not write this book out of his own accord. Dean Mafako, M.D. is an author, physician, and clinical professor of pediatrics. He has over fifteen years of clinical and research experience.
I would love to read his other books.
Kudos to the author for this story. Thank you for the emotions that accompanied me while reading it.
Even though this story is difficult, it will stay in my memory for a long time.
Thank you to the author for showing me that not everything is always colourful.
The ending of the story brought tears to my eyes. Whether I cried from happiness or rather from unhappiness, you will find out by reading "Bourned Out".
This book is worth reading.
Thanks to The Book Network and Book Baby for the e-book "Burned Out". I got this e-book in exchange for an honest review.
