[ + Dodaj cytat]The only person I really wanted to talk to about Augustus Water's death with was Augustus Waters.
No later light has lightened up my heaven,/
No second morn has ever shone for me;/
All my life’s bliss from thy dear life was given,/
All my life’s bliss is in the grave with thee."
- Emily Jane Brontë "REMEMBRANCE
Surging out of the splendor of the sea, death had swept down on him like a stormy bank of clouds. A vision of death now eternally beyond his reach, majestic, acclaimed, heroic death unfurled its rapture across his brain. And if the world had been provided for just this radiant death, then why shouldn't the world also perish for it!
Funerals (...) are much more important than weddings. People won't remember if you went to their son's wedding - but they will remember if you weren't at their mother's funeral. Deep down, they'll feel the hurt that you did not stand beside them when they need you most. And it's good to remember that we not only mourn the dead when we go to a funeral, we celebrate their lives.
Death is the guest you didn't invite: arriving when you least expect it, when you least need it, and when you least want it. It's a blow from behind. A knife in the back. The shadow that's following you. It's why you always keep looking over your shoulder.
for life's not a paragraph
and death i think is no parenthesis.
[...] “I’m going to kill you.” […] „I mean it,” she said. “You’re dead.”
He gave her his familiar solemn smile, the one that he’d given her all the time at the house. “Aren’t we all,” he said. ”Somewhere on the timeline.”
