Michelle Jackson is the Best selling Irish author of contemporary women’s fiction. Her novels are entitled ‘One Kiss in Havana’, ‘Two Days in Biarritz’ , ‘ Three Nights in New York and ’4am in Las Vegas’. 2011 saw the first translation of her novels into foreign languages and she has secured a deal with a Dutch, Portuguese, German and Norwegian publisher.
Michelle studied Textile design in the National college of Art and Design in the 1980′s and kicked off her career as a sock designer. She started teaching art, craft and design in secondary schools in the 1990′s and lectured in Oxford on the history and appreciation of Fashion from 1998-1999. She still teaches part-time. Her fifth novel entitled ’5 Peppermint Grove’ and was published in October 2012. In 2010 she published her first non-fiction book ‘What Women Know’ which is a collaboration of women’s wisdom with Dr Juliet Bressan. This has been translated and published in Bulgaria and Romania. Michelle regularly contributes articles on a variety of subjects including her writing, education and travel. She also is a commentator on women’s issues. She has written for the Irish Independent, The Sunday Times, The Irish Daily Mail and numerous periodicals and magazines. She has been a commentator on Ireland am, Midday and The Morning Show on TV3 and spoken on numerous radio stations worldwide. Including, RTE, Today fm, Newstalk, Spin 103fm, Radio Oman and 6PR in Australia. Michelle is a native of Howth, Co Dublin where she lives with her husband and two children.http://michellejackson.ie

Książka lekka, ale nie przesłodzona, ponieważ ociera się o trudne tematy (emigracja do Australii, śmierć bliskiej osoby... oraz znój życia codziennego). Głównym tematem jest jednak poszukiwanie miłości. Kobieta po 30stce nie ma łatwo ;) Dobrze jest poczytać o miejscach, w których się było. Opisy dublińskich kafejek, sklepów, hoteli oraz pięknych miejsc stanowią dodatkowy smaczek. Autorka mieszka na półwyspie, który uważam za jedno najwspanialszych miejsc stolicy Irlandii, oddalonym od centrum o kilka kilometrów, wraz z rodziną. Aktywnie bierze udział w życiu kulturalnym. Książka dostępna na razie tylko na wyspie (?). Daję sześć gwiazdek, nie jest to mój ulubiony gatunek literacki, ale czyta się dobrze i szybko.
