Pisze książki: filozofia, etyka
Since 2012, I have been at the University of Gothenburg, in the department of Philosophy, Linguistics, and Theory of Science. As of July 2016, I am an assistant professor (bitradande lektor). Since July 2014, I have been a fellow in the Pro Futura Scientia program funded by Riksbankens Jubileumsfond and arranged by the Swedish Collegium for Advanced Study (SCAS) in Uppsala, Sweden. The University of Gothenburg remains my "home university", so I am now affiliated with both SCAS and the University of Gothenburg.
Before coming to Gothenburg, I held research and teaching positions at the Department of General Linguistics at Heinrich Heine University (Duesseldorf, Germany) and the Centre for Languages and Literature at Lund University (Lund, Sweden). I have also spent time in Austin, Texas, both at Cycorp, Inc., and at the Linguistics Department at the University of Texas at Austin.
I received a B.A. in Linguistics from Northwestern University in 2002 and a Ph.D. in Linguistics from Stanford University in 2009. I became Docent in Linguistics through the University of Gothenburg in December 2013. ("Docent" is the Swedish equivalent of a German "Habilitation", a post-Ph.D. qualification, regardless of what Google Translate might have you believe.)http://eecoppock.info/
