What an end to this trilogy, I had so much fun with it, I can't even believe it.
Great writing, good plot, fine world building, plot twists had me gasping and the characters were just so real.
And the slow burn got to burn in this one very beautifully.
This is a very good conclusion to this story and I will definitly read more from this author.

Such a good book. I've read many debuts and this one is definitly one of the better ones.
It actually left me a bit surprised at the plot twist and even tho I knew how it would end after that, it still managed to squeeze some tears out of me.
Great characters, I love how pretty much all of them stand out in some way.
For the cons, I think it should be marketed as NA or older YA, not the adult book. It would suit those audiences better even with those description of horrors.

I love how all things unravelled, characters, relations, saints, cannibalism, just all the things!
I savoured it, I didn't know I was starving for this book until I started reading (pun intended)
It is intense, a little crazy and there are people eating each other (just so you know), so keep reading y'all!

I z tą książką niestety kończymy przygodę z Emily Wilde.
Jest to naprawdę dobre zakończenie serii, które zostawiło mnie z niedosytem tylko dlatego, że chciałabym przeczytać więcej.
Emily nadal świetnie sobie radzi z ogarnianiem spraw, Wendell nadal jest moim ulubionym fairy himbo ever. Jestem zakochana w tym jak bardzo ufa on Emily i jak bardzo jest pewny jej umiejętności, w tej części wybrzmiewa to jeszcze lepiej niż w poprzednich.
Czasem jedynie miałam wrażenie, że emocje nie zdążyły wybrzmieć, a już sprawy zostały rozwiązane, ale może to być kwestia stylu, który autorka na siebie wzięła.
Poza tym bez zarzutu (polska wersja miała problemy z tłumaczeniem w pewnych miejscach, a także brakło jej myślników i enterów, ale to nie wina książki), mogę ze spokojem ducha polecić to wszystkim.

So, by reading this book, I know that Laini Taylor got a lot better with time. Strange the Dreamer was so much better.
I did not like this book in the beginning, but it grew on me during reading. I am kinda sad that romance plot overwhelmed other topics, because they were so much more interesting. It felt instalovey, even when it was between Madrigal and Akiva.
I'll continue with the series and really hope the other world will be more fleshed out in the next books.

Przyznam, że Haymitch jako postać w Igrzyskach nie był moim ulubieńcem. Nadal nim nie jest, ale jest to solidna książka o próbie zdławienia systemu, gdzie zabrakło szczęścia, a może czasu.

Tłumaczenie było trochę niemrawe, trochę byłam zdziwiona ilością błędów. Niestety pierwszoosobowa narracja sprawiła, że ciężko było mi wejść w tę książkę (po angielsku zapewne byłaby lepsza).

Poza tym mamy porządne postacie drugoplanowe, przystępne poruszanie problemów obecnych rządów, a także kilku bohaterów, których znamy z podstawowej serii.

Przyznam, że po tym jak pokochałam Balladę praków i węży, zabawnie się oglądało Snowa, który nawet po 40 latach nie przeszedł nad swoim zakochaniem do porządku dziennego.
