Ogłoszono nazwiska 30 finalistów National Book Critics Circle w sześciu kategoriach: autobiografia, biografia, krytyka, powieść, literatura faktu i poezja. Nagroda przyznawana jest autorom wyróżniających się książek opublikowanych w 2016 roku.

Finaliści National Book Critics Circle

Jej pierwsza edycja miała miejsce w 1975 roku. Obecnie uznawana jest za jedno z najbardziej prestiżowych amerykańskich wyróżnień literackich. Finalistów wybiera grono jurorów składające się z krytyków literackich i recenzentów.
